Mike Hanlon

Mike has been active in SVP since 1998. He has volunteered with a variety of grantees, served on multiple grant-making committees and chaired the Portfolio Grant Committee. Professionally, he joined  Amazon.com in 1995 while it was still an early-stage venture, working there until 2001. Mike received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington, where his research focused on the influence of public policy on intrahousehold behavior. Mike lives in Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood with his wife Molly and three children.
