Susan is the Program Director of Advocacy & Policy at Social Venture Partners Seattle.  Susan oversees all of SVP’s efforts related to systemic change in our core funding areas: early learning, K-12 education, and the environment.  She works collaboratively with our SVP Partners to develop and implement SVP’s advocacy and policy strategies.  In addition, she provides grant management to SVP’s advocacy investees, building multi-year relationships with these organizations to advance their mission and strengthen their efforts through distinct capacity building projects.   Susan also works closely with the Annual Review Team to oversee the annual refunding process.  Prior to this role, Susan spent four years managing and facilitating SVP’s grant selection process.

Before joining SVP, Susan provided capacity building expertise to a small local government in Timor Leste; developed mentorship opportunities for at-risk youth in Seattle; and provided case management and referral resources to homeless adults in Seattle.   She is a graduate of the University of Washington - Evans School of Public Affairs, where she obtained her Masters in Public Administration with a focus on nonprofit management.
