4 Wheels. 16 Days. Budapest-Bamako.
There are probably easier ways to raise funds for a school. But then, where's the fun in easy?! On January 14, 2012 SVP Partner Daniel Byrne, his son Coner and their friend Arthur Edstrom revved the 4.2 L diesel turbo engine in their 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser.
Team Bright Eyed was ready to rumble. From Hungary to Guinea-Bissau. On four wheels. In 16 grueling days. No rescue helicopters. No tow trucks. No translators, lawyers or tour guides.
This is Budapest-Bamako 2012: The Great African Run. Team Bright Eyed’s mission? To build a permanent rural school and dig a well in central Guinea-Bissau. (Oh, and win the race of course!)
Join the race on Team Bright Eyed’s blog, track their progress on a live map, and learn about their mission.
