Philanthropy has plummeted in the last few years, in part because of tough financial times. As scarcity of available resources grows, nonprofits are learning to adapt to new situations while still being able to meet their growing need for services.

On our June 5th Spring Meeting, CEO and President of Islandwood, Ben Klasky, spoke about the process of building a strong organization, even when - as a leader - you're not sure when scarce times will end. As a result of their adaptation, Islandwood has emerged stronger, leaner, and more courageous.
