Center for Human Services is a multi-service agency that has been a resource for individuals, youth and families since 1970. CHS is actively committed to reaching those in need of their services and creating an environment that values and respects the cultural diversity of their community. CHS operates three family support centers located in the Shoreline, Ballinger Homes and Northshore communities.

Child Care Resources leads community efforts to ensure that every family can find safe, quality, affordable child care. They work in partnership with families, child care providers, businesses and government to achieve this vision by providing information and referral services to assist families in selecting quality child care; recruitment, training and technical support of child care providers to improve the quality and supply of child care; education, advocacy and coordinated efforts within local communities. SVP supports CCR’s mentoring program for daycare centers pursuing accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children as well as general operating support.

Family Law CASA recruits, screens, trains and supervises community volunteers (Court Appointed Special Advocates – CASAs) who are appointed to investigate custody and visitation disputes in order to give children a voice in court. Family Law CASA conducts in-depth investigations of the family situation, including home visits, meeting with parents, guardians, teachers, neighbors and relatives in order to understand the needs of the child.

Refugee Women's Alliance is a nationally recognized, multi-ethnic nonprofit organization that provides award-winning services to refugee and immigrant families in King and Snohomish counties. ReWA serves more than 2,000 adults and children annually from Southeast Asia, East Africa, Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Latin America. ReWA’s bilingual/bicultural services include ESL classes, tutoring, on-site child care and child care training, employment training and job placement, parent education, citizenship classes, youth support services, domestic violence, and developmental disability services.
