Out-of-School Time Portfolio
Friends of the Children (FOC) helps the most vulnerable children living in seriously high-risk environments develop the relationships, goals, skills and resources necessary to thrive. FOC provides long-term mentoring services to the most at-risk youth. Each child is matched with a full-time, professional staff member who acts as the mentor and cares, advocates and supports them throughout the most formative years of their lives.

Passages Northwest inspires courage and leadership in girls and women through the integrated exploration of the arts and the natural environment. Their programs include Girls Rock!, a climbing and mentoring program for middle school girls; Girls Wilderness expeditions in the spring and summer; Alumnae; and Community Partnership programs for schools, parents and organizations that focus on creating positive change in the institutions that serve girls.

Powerful Voices is an organization dedicated to working with adolescent girls to instill leadership skills, foster the development of critical thinking and promote their individual potential. Their two main programs serve girls in four middle schools and girls in juvenile detention. Both programs focus on girls' strengths, help girls to define their personal goals and introduce them to new and challenging concepts of opportunity, equality and responsibility.
