Partners Under 35
In 2009, SVP realized that there were very few SVP Partners under the age of 35. We were missing a whole generation’s worth of perspectives, ideas, and energy.
One of the primary barriers was the $6,000 annual contribution. For a group of people still building their careers, this was difficult, so our board of directors unanimously decided to reduce their contribution to $2,500. The move was a success. More than a dozen new Partners joined the following year, and that number continues to grow. Some of our younger Partners are also actively involved in our programming and play leadership roles within SVP.
