Meet Our New Investee...
SVP and the K-12 Advocacy and Policy Committee welcome the League of Education Voters Foundation as our newest Investee.
SVP Welcomes the League of Education Voters Foundation
The K-12 Advocacy and Policy Committee (APC) is pleased to announce its partnership with the League of Education Voters Foundation. The League of Education Voters Foundation will receive $40,000 plus the time and talent of our SVP Partnership.

The K-12 APC is a group of Partners focused on learning about, and influencing, public policy to improve K-12 education. In its second year, the committee realized that while they could play an independent role in affecting change, they must also partner with other key players to have the greatest impact within the complex K-12 system.
Through a rigorous grantmaking process the K-12 APC sought one key partner. Not only was the committee looking for an organization that could leverage SVP’s capacity building expertise, but one that could also engage our SVP Partners in its advocacy and policy work. The League of Education Voters Foundation fit the bill.
Selecting one key partner was not easy, however . The K-12 APC also considered two other outstanding organizations in the final phase of their grantmaking process: Stand for Children and Partnership for Learning.
The League of Education Voters Foundation is dedicated to engaging ordinary citizens, educators, policymakers, and the media in the effort to provide a quality education for all students in Washington State - from preschool through college. Through its activities and publications, including an annual Citizen's Report Card, LEV Foundation serves as a source of credible, timely information about the state's education system. LEV Foundation helps highlight best practices, measure progress, and motivate people across Washington State to be a part of the solution.
