More Than 300 Attend 10th Anniversary Celebration

More Than 300 Attend SVP 10th Anniversary Celebration

On  November 14, under festive lights in the Seattle Art Museum, more than 300 people gathered to celebrate a decade of engaged philanthropy and cutting edge community service to advance non-profits.  Special guest, Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, brought greetings and praise from the city.

Founders, Scott Oki and Maggie Walker, highlighted SVP’s history and positive impact on partners and the community. SVP founder Paul Brainerd, sent his thanks and optimism for the future of SVP in his video message and Executive Director, Paul Shoemaker, moved the crowd with an inspirational vision and possibilities now on the horizon for SVP.

A lively mix of SVP Partners and prospects, current and former Investees, community and non-profit leaders and corporate representatives enjoyed live jazz and the museum galleries which remained open for private viewing during the evening.  Social Venture Kids were present to receive a $1000.00 donation from Cornerstone Advisors and Commerce Bank sponsors.

Support for the SVP Tenth Anniversary was generously provided by Cornerstone Advisors, the Commerce Bank of Washington, Wellspring Group P.S. CPAs, the Seattle Foundation, CTIN Events Inc. and Gregory Currier, Ancora Foto.
