Expert facilitator and consultant Susan Howlett has worked with hundreds of nonprofits and will share lessons she’s learned on helping nonprofits thrive – even in a down economy.
Are there great people on your board who are not operating at full capacity? Discover how to get leaders deeply engaged as governors, fundraisers and ambassadors.
Susan Howlett has been raising money joyfully for 30 years, the last 19 as a consultant to hundreds of nonprofits throughout the U.S. She launched the Nonprofit Management Certificate at Bellevue Community College, where she's been teaching since 1990, and she has taught in several UW departments over many years. Susan ran the Puget Sound Grantwriters Association for 10 years, and has held many leadership positions with the NW Development Officers Association. The author of two books, Getting Funded: The Complete Guide to Writing Grant Proposals (with Dr. Mary Hall), and Getting Your Board Members to Raise Money Joyfully, she received NDOA's Lifetime Professional Achievement Award in 2001, and UW's Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004. Susan speaks, trains and consults nationally.
