Description

More and more partners are considering a career transition into the nonprofit sector to make a large-scale social impact. This series is designed to help partners explore their passions and motivations for such a career change, and provide resources to help you wherever you are on this journey. We will also provide a framework for developing your ideal nonprofit job criteria, discuss whether they’re realistic and what tradeoffs you are willing to make. We will also bring in guest speakers who have successfully “crossed over” and who can provide insights based on their experience.

Series begins February 23 and will meet approximately every other week by agreement of group members.

Learning Objectives

• understanding characteristics, cultures, and challenges in working in the nonprofit sector;
• identifying what transferable skills you already have and what you need to develop; and
• learning how to forge connections that will help you meet the right people within the sector
