Mike Quinn, Program Manager - Grants & Capacity Building
Mike Quinn manages our grantmaking program and facilitates the committee that selects new Investees each year. He also helps match SVP volunteers with the nonprofits we fund.
A native of Colorado, Mike decided to pursue his passion for engaging people in social change by relocating to Seattle to join SVP. Previously, Mike worked for El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs in their Fellowship program. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was also an active member of the Presidents Leadership Class. He enjoys the outdoors, and has grown to appreciate having the beauty of both the mountains and the water all in one spot!

The Artist + Moneyball = SVP?!
It’s fair to say a few of us here in the office enjoy the movies, sharing perspectives and recommendations once in awhile. After the Academy Awards last Sunday, we couldn't help but find some great - if surprising - parallels between SVP's work, and the storyline of two Oscar-worthy flicks.
The Buzz on SVP Staff – From Net Impact to Leadership Tomorrow
SVP staff are racking up accolades! Lynn Coriano was selected as a PLACES Fellow, Mike Quinn was accepted into Leadership Tomorrow’s class of 2012, and Paul Shoemaker was interviewed in the Seattle Times and is a featured panelist at this fall’s Net Impact Conference. Congrats all around!
