Nonprofit Results
The nonprofits we support are changing lives.
They’re protecting our most precious natural resources, and helping to ensure that all kids get a fair shot at a success.
In the last year they:
- Served more than 50,000 kids through diverse programs, from one-on-one mentorship to an array of wrap-around services that help keep kids in school
- Protected our environment through conservation, restoration, advocacy, and civic engagement
- Advocated for better policies that support strong early learning and K-12 education systems
SVP's job? To help them serve more kids, provide more effective programs, and make an even greater impact by remembering one simple rule...
Stronger nonprofits deliver better results.
Seems like a no-brainer, right? You might be surprised how often the health of a nonprofit gets overlooked. Things like sound financial systems and up-to-date technology are not the stuff rallying cries are made of, but they can mean the difference between reaching 100,000 and 1.5 million kids in need. That’s why we do what we do.
Since 1997, SVP Partners have collectively given more than $13 million and tens of thousands of volunteer hours to 70+ King County nonprofits. In last the fiscal year alone, SVP provided 17 nonprofits with:
$876,000 Direct Grants
$183,000 Volunteer Time (1,830 hours at $100 per hour*)
$96,399 Paid Consulting Support for Investee Projects
$1,115,339 TOTAL
This number multiplies when looking across SVP’s international network. Since SVP’s inception, Partners in 25 different cities have collectively given more than $41 million and countless volunteer hours.
*The value was calculated using a uniform rate of $100 per hour. Although market rates vary according to type of project, SVP chose a single rate at the low end of the range ($75–$150) to maximize ease and reliability of data collected.
